TROY, Mich., Aug. 8, 2012 - Point & Pay (http://www.pointandpay.com), a wholly-owned subsidiary of North American Bancard, today announced an extension of the company’s business partnership with Thomson Reuters and its Tax & Accounting, Government business, formerly known as Manatron. This extended relationship simplifies the in-person tax payment process for Florida’s local government agencies and signals continued growth for both companies.

As part of the agreement, Thomson Reuters software collects customer information from clerks at tax payment offices, and passes the data to Point & Pay for secure processing. The new user integration is seamless, enabling clerks to handle data and process payments end-to-end within the Thomson Reuters application. This free system upgrade is available to both new and existing Point & Pay/Thomson Reuters government clients.

“Our agreement with Thomson Reuters lends an important new component to the services we provide our Florida clients,” said Kevin C. Connell, President, Point & Pay. “Thanks to this new, simplified integration with Thomson Reuters, we expect more government offices across Florida will make the switch to Point & Pay’s more flexible and customized payment solutions as we continue our remarkable progress.”

According to Al Ales, Director, Operations for Thomson Reuters, “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Point & Pay, as it helps us meet our objective of simplifying the tax management lifecycle for government agencies.”
